Before Las Terrenas, there was Paris. Fashion Week 2015. The shows move fast, the windows are tight, and there is absolutely no room for hesitation. You either have the shot or you don't and nobody waits for you to find it. This series was shot across multiple shows and presentations during the October 2015 season a week that functioned as a crash course in high-pressure photography and the kind of instinct that only comes from being thrown in at the deep end. These images sit at the beginning of a story that eventually led to Las Terrenas, the Caribbean, and everything that Tropical Mirage became. Looking back at them now, the eye is already there. The rest was just finding the right light to shoot it in. And there is no better light in the world than the Dominican Republic.
